A Gathering of Men - in partnership with The Haven
I am pleased to be partnering with my team members Nigel Mojica and Jay Wade and to again collaborate with The Haven to bring this event for men!
For diverse men of all ages and stages to explore and redefine their relationship to self, others and the community.
By “men” we mean all self-identified men and folks exploring the edges and centres of masculinity.
What a year it's been! Huge upheavals including the COVID-19 pandemic, widespread activism and awareness of police violence and systemic oppression, increasing political and social polarization, and the ongoing climate crisis have been increasingly salient in our lives and consciousness. Understandings of gender play an important role in these issues and how we engage with them.
Are any of these statements true for you?
I want more connection and deeper conversations with other men.
I want to explore my own vulnerability in a supportive community.
I want to have meaningful conversations and reflection on masculinity.
I want to look at both men’s involvement in negative behaviors and also challenges that men face.
I want access to frameworks and processes that support the construction of my own unique male identity.
I want to explore allyship with marginalized persons and identities in a courageous, supportive, non-shaming environment.
If you said “yes” to any of the above, this online program may be a perfect opportunity to explore and redefine your relationship with masculinity.
Check out the Haven's link to this program for further details, including information on tiered pricing and a limited number of full or partial bursaries
through their Community Diversity & Inclusion Fund.
